About the Class

Stagecraft consists of a two-year course of study in Technical Theatre. Students will watch theatre and engage in various activities that include, but are not limited to: script analysis, design, constructions, and play production. Students will learn the necessary skills and theory to work in various departments of theatre including: set, lights, sound, costume, make-up, props, stage management, and house management. Students will be expected to participate in the various events produced on campus. This course is designed to provide students with the necessary foundational skills to be prepared for post-secondary study or work in the technical arts (stage, film/TV, music, live events, etc.).
