About the Class

Korean is the 18th most spoken language in the world. Due to the Hallyu wave and increasing popularity of K-Pop (i.e, BTS, BlackPink, Twice) and Korean Dramas (i.e, Squid Game, Crash Landing on You), Korean has become one of the world’s fastest-growing languages. Sherman Oaks CES offers 4 different levels of Korean as part of the World Language courses. In this class, you will learn about Korean culture, art, traditions, and more. If you already speak another language other than English, why not learn a new language and be trilingual? How awesome would it be if you no longer needed the subtitles while watching your favorite K-drama? Not only that, but Korean is also offered at many colleges so you can continue learning after. ** If you take four years of Korean with grades of A or B in all four levels and complete all English language arts requirements for graduation, you can receive the Seal of Biliteracy Award.
