About the Class

Coming into contact with a new language naturally results in an expansion of one’s worldview and cultural awareness. SOCES offers a variety of courses for students eager to learn the language, arts, traditions, pop culture, and geography of the Spanish-speaking world. Spanish is spoken in twenty-one countries located on three different continents and is the second-largest language in the United States with over 33 million speakers. Spanish has become a key language in many fields, increasing the possibility of job opportunities.
