About the Class

Drama students practice character analysis and learn how to create a dramatic character. Students may learn by performing the works of classic playwrights, such as Shakespeare and Chekhov, and/or contemporary works. Acting skills are developed through improvisations, scene work, focused theater exercises, group work, and monologues. Students have an opportunity to perform in local theatre festivals. Theatre Ensemble class (High School) performs two main stage productions per year (one musical and one straight play).
