International Foods: High School Only
About the Class
International Foods is an introductory class exploring safety, sanitation, basic cooking and baking techniques, as well as the history and culture behind food. Students will be introduced to the world of cooking. This course emphasizes cooking methods, eating habits, and cultural characteristics of people in diverse cultures and geographical areas. Students will plan, and present foods that represent various societies. Various regions of the world will be covered including North America, Latin America, Europe, the Mediterranean, Asia, and the Mid-East among others.
