Basic drama classes introduce students to the fundamental skills of the physical and emotional craft of acting through the study of age-appropriate specific acting methods and exercises. Students practice voice development, diction and vocal variety in a drama voice and diction course. Course lessons instruct students in expressiveness and volume projection. Inflections, articulations, speech rates, phrasing, breath, and vibration techniques are also explored in this class. Drama students practice character analysis and learn how to create a dramatic character.
